PALATE
Perfumed fresh blackcurrant and red currant flavours intermingled with plums and integrated oak structure. The finish is soft with elegance and depth.
WINEMAKING
Selected from twenty-five to seventyyear-old vines in the Ebenezer, Kalimna, Stonewell, Vine Vale and Seppeltsfield subregions. Open fermented for five to eight days before 15 months ok ageing in older French and American puncheon barrels.
VINTAGE REPORT
La Nina weather conditions resulted in a cooler and wetter growing season. While this extra moisture was beneficial for the vines, the lower temperatures caused the vines to flower later than usual, leading to a delayed harvest. This type of season resulted in grapes that were bursting with vibrant aromas and fresh flavours. be done when you push the boundaries.
